Conflict and Self-Alignment

Conflict appears in many forms—differences in perspective, tensions of interest, or clashes of values. It may arise in personal relationships as well as within organizations. Yet external conflict often stems from internal conflict: a misalignment between one’s values, roles, and direction. When the inner self is not ordered, tension easily radiates outward.

From the HRs perspective, the root of conflict is not merely difference, but misalignment that has yet to be recognized. A self that lacks clarity tends to respond defensively, decide reactively, and communicate without depth. In contrast, alignment brings steadiness—the capacity to understand without haste, to evaluate without judgment, and to act without hidden impulses.

Conflict can become an indication that something needs to be realigned. When individuals reorder their values, awareness, and responsibility within their roles, internal conflict begins to resolve—and with it, external conflict can gradually subside. In that space, differences no longer turn into opposition, but become an opportunity to build maturity and a more integrated direction.
